You Can Never Have Success Without This
No matter what you are trying to achieve in your life, if you want to have a certain level of success, you need to have a strong degree of discipline. Discipline is one of the most important qualities that we can all develop because it’s a skill. Let me give you an example, if I lift a weight every day on my one arm; this muscle is going to get bigger. Discipline is the same thing, and to exercise discipline we need to use our will-power. Many people struggle with will-power or self-discipline, and it is a very necessary ingredient in our lives for more success. When you want to change an area in your life that you feel that you have been struggling with, and you don’t know how to do it (perhaps it’s your health, or a relationship), I would highly recommend meditating and visualising daily, being consistent and intentional.
What needs to come before any discipline can take place? ‘Commitment’.
The first commitment you need to make is to yourself. Give yourself an instruction and keep it and over time you will achieve success in every area of your life.
Think about what it is that you want to change. Ask yourself, “Am I really and truly committed to changing this area of my life?” Come to the point where you know for certain your answer is, ‘Yes’. Once you say, “Yes, I am committed to changing this”, you will find that the discipline you need to apply will come more easily and it will flow naturally.
I’d like you to do an experiment: Take a white sheet of paper; draw a 6 x 5 grid, or thirty blocks. Every day that you meditate and visualise, write the date in a block. If you miss a day, you must start again, with a new sheet of paper. Do it every single day for 30 days; this is how long it takes to create a new habit and this is backed up by neuroscience.
For any habit you want to implement in your life for more success, start with a commitment to yourself.
- Use your will power to apply daily discipline.
- Keep a record that you do it every day for more than thirty days.
I wish you all the best, because there is nothing, more satisfying, than being the captain of your own ship, achieving the success and the goals you desire. It’s gratifying knowing inside your own heart that you got there because you applied self-discipline, and you invested that time and effort yourself, to get there. I hope this has been helpful. Otherwise my friends have a wonderful day and God bless.
