Reduce Weight the Silva Method Way

Do you want to know why so many people struggle when it comes to weight reduction? It is because of your subconscious mind. In your subconscious mind is your self-image. For example let’s say your self-image is, “I’m overweight”; regardless of how much weight you are, that’s your image of yourself.

Your subconscious mind is a self-correcting mechanism. When you are out of your comfort zone and you change anything in your environment, or how you are feeling, which is not in harmony with your self-image, automatically, your subconscious mind is going to self-sabotage you and do anything it can to correct that, and bring you back to that programmed self-image.

If you are overweight, for example, you weigh 65 kilos and you would like to weight 60 kilos, your subconscious programme says, “I weigh 65”. If you start going on some kind of regimen to reduce weight, and you drop off 3 or 4 kilos and get on the scale, you might say, “Yay, that’s wonderful. I have reduced 4 kilos!” however, your sub conscious mind is not adjusted yet to the new image of you. Your subconscious is saying, “Hey that’s not me! I don’t weight 61, I’m 65”, The self-correcting mechanism kicks into place and you will start to produce thoughts, feelings, emotions, doubts, and any kind of self-sabotaging behaviour to make you do something like eat all the wrong foods. It also will make you feel lazy and not exercise.

Once you know that the subconscious mind is a self-correcting mechanism, reducing weight and keeping if off permanently, is as simple as reprogramming your subconscious mind first.  It is 30,000 times more effective to reduce weight, or any other result for that matter, by reprogramming the subconscious mind for any goal that you want to achieve, than trying to do it with will power and effort.

In the Silva Method, we deal with reducing weight at the sub conscious level which means you will take it off and keep it off. When you do Dynamic Meditation using the Silva Method, and start programming you mind and visualising the ideal weight that you want to achieve, it will drive your behaviour to achieve it automatically and it’s permanent. If you trying to reduce weight without the Silva Method, the best advice I can give you is to close your eyes and visualise every day. Visualise yourself at the weight that you want to become. See it in your mind, repeatedly. Make that impression in your subconscious mind until it sees it over and over and starts to believe that’s you.

The truth is, your subconscious cannot distinguish between imagination and reality.  Therefore, imagine YOU at your desired weight, and your subconscious mind will say, “Well, this is me”, and it will become the belief that you hold, the self-imagine that you hold, and your behaviours will automatically align to get you to that outcome. You will automatically feel more energetic and want to exercise. You will automatically want to eat more healthily, and want to do things to bring you to that self-image ideal-weight picture, that you put into your mind.
